I want to take a moment to introduce myself.
My name is Deon. I am a 45 year old mother of two. I am a remote corporate employee which means that I sit on my ass. When I'm not working, I'm writing. Which also means, I'm sitting on my ass. I work from home, which allows me full access to my fridge and pantry at any time.
I'm out of shape, I'm fat and I'm tired of it.
This blog isn't meant to be a celebratory weight loss/fitness journey. There are enough of those out there. This will be real. This will be about the ugliness of it all. If you're looking for someone to encourage you along your own journey, you've come to the wrong place. There will be tears here. There will be fighting and screaming and failure.
That's the story I want to tell. It's not going to be easy, it's not going to be pretty, but it will be real. It will be true. And it will be mine.
